Bill Hickland RGN BSc hons, PG Dip Ed qualified in 1986. After initially working in coronary care he transferred to intensive care where he has remained for his career. He has worked in ICM in a number of countries eventually returning to Belfast in 1997. He took up the position of Nurse Manager for NICCATS in 2004 and after the joining of the neonatal and paediatric services to form NISTAR he became nurse coordinator for Adult NISTAR. He continues to hold the position of Charge Nurse in RICU. He has a lifelong interest and commitment to teaching and training staff.
